Our Image of the Child

For a Good Start in Life

Each of our 22 Day-Care Centers shapes its everyday educational work in its own way. Yet one thing unites them all: a shared image of the child.

Our Image of the Child

Children are at the heart of our educational work.

Every Child Is Unique

For us, every child is a young person with their own story. They bring their personality, experiences, and view of the world — and that is exactly what makes them special. We accept each child as they are and meet them with openness and respect.

Children’s Needs Shape Everyday Life

We observe carefully and listen: What is on the child’s mind? What does the child need right now? Children’s needs are our starting point. This is how we shape our daily life together — with openness, appreciation, and respect.

Where Curiosity is Allowed to Grow Safely

Children need both freedom and security. We therefore create places where they can try new things, explore, dream and be creative. At the same time, we provide clear structures, reliable relationships and protection so that every child feels safe.

Seeing the World through Children’s Eyes

Children experience the world with open eyes and all their senses. They wonder, discover and ask questions — often quite differently from how adults do. We take this childlike perspective seriously and accompany it with patience, interest and joy.

Children Learn Through Their Own Experiences

We understand the child as an active shaper of their own life. They learn from their own motivation, have experiences, find solutions and grow through challenges. Our task is to support, encourage and provide the right impulses — so that every child can find their own path.
