On this page, you will find all the important information about registration, as well as the relevant forms. Under Day-Care Centres you can find out which facility best suits you and your child.

We offer you to register your child for a place in a Day-Care Center, or After-School Club directly via our PDF-Form.

Registration for a Day-Care or After-School Place

Registration by Form

Please download the PDF-Form, fill in the relevant fields completely, and then print out the document.

Send us the PDF document with all necessary signatures directly via email to: platzvergabe-dekita@dessau-rosslau.de.

Once we receive your application for a place, our staff will email you within a few days to confirm receipt of the request and your preliminary registration. Processing and confirmation of the place—along with all details regarding your future care contract—usually take place a few weeks prior to your desired start date; we therefore ask that you refrain from making early inquiries.

Online Registration with „Little Bird“

Please register your child directly online via the official „LITTLE BIRD“ website of the City of Dessau-Roßlau.

Alternatively, please register your child via the City of Dessau-Roßlau’s “LITTLE BIRD” website.

We’ve been offered a place – What happens next?

Once you have received confirmation of a day-care place, at least six months before the desired start of care, the following documents are required for admission:

Copy of the identity card(s) of the legal guardian(s) or a valid residence permit

Copy of the child’s birth certificate

Copy of an extract from the custody register pursuant to Section 58a SGB VIII, if applicable (parental responsibility declaration for unmarried parents)

Copy/copies of child benefit notification(s)

Copy of the child’s vaccination booklet, including proof of measles vaccination in accordance with vaccination recommendations

Information on the desired care hours

Completed application for sibling discount, where applicable (only for biological or adopted siblings)
