The After-School Care Center “Am Luisium” is integrated within the primary school of the same name and currently has a capacity of 207 children. Our team is made up of educators, including the director and her deputy. Our after-school club work is designed to be open, meaning that it offers children the opportunity to shape their own leisure time in diverse functional rooms.
Our rooms are designed as functional spaces, and the children decide independently how they would like to use them. Phyical activities take place in the outdoor area as well as in the gymnasium. Furthermore, we offer regular group activities in various areas for the children.
Participation gives children in our after-school club the right to contribute to decisions that affect their own lives. The children bring in their wishes and ideas through situation-related conversations and thereby largely determine their own leisure time. The goal of our educational work is to accept every child as a personality in their respective situation, to recognise their needs and to lovingly accompany, support and promote them in their holistic development.
Working with parents at the “Am Luisium” after-school club is based on a partnership-oriented and appreciative cooperation between parents and educators. Open communication and cooperation are the foundation for successful educational work — for the benefit of the children.
The parent committee supports the exchange between families and the educational team.
The goal of our educational work is to offer children a stable bond in the sense of emotional security and trust, so that they can develop into self-directed and responsible personalities.
We look forward to welcoming your child to our after-school club and accompanying them on their path.
