“Together rather than alone” is the motto of our after-school club, and it is something we actively live every day. Every child is unique and brings their own experiences, enriching our everyday club life. Together, we play, laugh and have fun — whether with other children or with our educators. It is this sense of togetherness that makes life colourful, joyful and full of variety.

Our six educators provide a creative space for leisure activities for up to 162 children, from school entry through to the transition to Year 7. Our “Tempelhof” after-school club is located within the “Tempelhofer Straße” primary school building, between allotment gardens and forest areas, which we often use for activities.

At „Tempelhof“, open work and children’s participation are very important to us. We regularly ask the children for their opinions, wishes and ideas and work together to integrate them into everyday club life. A variety of themed rooms are available to the children, including a construction room, theatre room, creative room, relaxation room, movement and activity room, several homework rooms, a computer room, a dance room and a kitchen. These different spaces allow every child to follow their interests and express themselves in many different ways.

Children have a natural need for movement and outdoor play. For this reason, we use our large outdoor area as often as possible. Children can enjoy various sports such as football, basketball and table tennis, as well as vehicles, climbing frames and plenty of nature — offering variety, freedom and lots of fun.
